Town Hall Rental
SHARON TOWN HALL RENTAL
Thank you for your interest in renting the Sharon Town Hall. The hall was renovated in 2015 to improve the conditions for Voters (as it is the Townships only Polling Location) and improve the workspace for the Township Board. In making plans for the renovation the Board thought it was imperative that we make the Hall a USUABLE space for our residents- which became a huge focus of the project. The renovation brought about a larger handicap accessible bathroom and a larger kitchenette area with a full sized refrigerator. We hope that you find the renovation as impressive and exciting as we do!
The hall is currently available for rent for $55.00 for the first hour and $10.00 for every hour after. Township residents are able to rent the hall at a $5.00 DISCOUNT, for $50.00 for the first hour and $5.00 for every hour thereafter.
A $50.00 Deposit is required at the time of signing the RENTAL AGREEMENT FORM- this will secure your date. This deposit is refundable if the township is given a cancellation notice 15 days prior to your event.
KEY POINTS IN RENTING THE HALL:
NO ALCOHOL OF ANY KIND IS PERMITTED- Either in the parking lot or in the building.
EVENTS MUST END NO LATER THAN 10:00pm and the property must be completed vacated by 10:00pm unless otherwise agreed upon IN WRITING in advance.
NO ONSITE COOKING IS PERMITTED, however access to a full size refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot are at your disposal.

Who We Are
Sharon Township is a rural community located in the west central region of Washtenaw County in the southeast area of Michigan, within an agriculturally dominated region. There are many small towns and settlements nearby. The closest, the Village of Manchester abuts the south-central border of the Township. The City of Chelsea is three miles to the north. Larger urban centers, such as Jackson to the west and Ann Arbor to the east, are less than one-half hour away. The 2000 census indicates a population of 1,678.
The topography of the Township can be described as level to very steep, with the northwest portion comparatively flat and the southern regions more rolling. The central area of the Township exhibits very steep grades and these topographic conditions, along with the associated woodlands and wetlands, compromise the unique Sharon Short Hills area. This area is also one of the primary groundwater recharge areas for the County.
